SITUATION

A specialty pharmaceutical company’s new product planning group sought to integrate discovery, commercial, and new business development perspectives into their central nervous system (CNS) market strategy.

OUR ROLE

Our team evaluated and characterized a substantial number of CNS disease areas and major indications.  This involved quantifying unmet needs, assessing innovation potential, evaluating sustainability and risk, and profiling the investment opportunity within each disease state. By prioritizing target markets and devising immediate-term investment strategies, we provided actionable growth strategies for the client's CNS franchise.

IMPACT

Following significant primary and secondary research and a series of engaging workshops, the client was positioned to make informed decisions regarding high potential and actionable growth strategies for their CNS franchise. A follow-on licensing and acquisition (L&A) engagement focused on solidifying target assets and companies. Our work included detailed product forecasts, L&A analysis, and the development of potential deal scenarios.
